1899 Office of Phoenix's first newspapers, the Daily Herald, which was purchased by The Arizona Republic in 1899.   1909 Central Avenue near Monroe Street. The Undertakers building is at the alley and where the Heard building stands today.
 

1895 Phoenix streets after flooding.

 

1910 Built in 1908-1909, this was the new home of the Arizona Republican at the northeast corner of 2nd and Adams Streets.

 

1910 - The view from above Washington Street, looking eastward.
